Ways to Help

I do not like making these kinds of posts, but we have too many people to count who are asking how to help, which is fantastic! So I’ll lay out all the ways you can help here.

God has been providing for us even before we knew we’d need help. He is so good. Bless you, to those who have helped us now and throughout the years of our health journey. 2024 has been a year filled with ups and downs for us. In August, I wrote a post titled A Rough Season. That post summed up the year to that point, and it had been a lot. Then, there was the event that set this rejection into place. Then we had a couple of great trips but Amanda’s health started deteriorating. That leads us to where we are now. Even in the ups and downs, God has provided us a way out, though.

Ok, back to the ways you can help. Again, I’m not asking, but so many have reached out and felt compelled to help us. I mentioned Uber Eats, Door Dash, and Starbucks gift cards, but some have asked how to get them to us. The best method is using my email, [email protected]. It’s Barkley backwards, so not as weird as it looks! We’ve also had a few already send money via Venmo to us as well. I’ll post the codes for Venmo and Cash App at the bottom of this post.

We also relaunched our shirt campaign from the transplant. We kept the same design and just added our website. We also added a few sweatshirts and a couple of women’s cut tees. So, if you have one and need a new color, style, or a bigger size, like me, here’s your chance! We also have many new friends since the transplant, so here is your chance to get a shirt as well. Amanda thought of adding the website. I questioned that, and we were talking with a friend about it.

She said, “The website on the t-shirt is good if y’all want to use the website to minister to people through your journey.” As crazy as that sounds to me, Amanda and I know that our journey has ministered to many people because they’ve told us so.

The shirt has lyrics from Bethel Music’s Raise a Hallelujah. This song became Amanda’s anthem during the days leading up to her transplant. Here’s an excerpt from the tee shirt site that explains things well: Amanda’s faithful, perseverant attitude is the premise for this shirt. It is the embodiment of her and these words have become her anthem. She literally raises a hallelujah every Sunday morning as she leads our congregation in worship. Her weapon truly is a medley and she wields it gracefully.

Feel free to share any of this info if you’d like.
