Amanda is doing much better this morning. She’s still in pain but it seems to be under control. We saw all the doctors early this morning. They’ve already processed her discharge. Hopefully we’ll be out of here my noon.
Amanda is still wanting to come home today. The third day is usually the worst for soreness so she’s thinking it might be worse tomorrow. She’ll also still be groggy from the meds they’ve been giving her so maybe she’ll be able to sleep for most of the ride.
They are giving her all of the morning medication now. She’ll get one more dose of IV pain medication then they’ll monitor her for an hour or so. Hopefully we’ll be out of here after that. I still need to go to the hotel and get all of our luggage. I’ll leave and grab it right before we get discharged so I can just pick Amanda up on the way back.
Back home
We got home yesterday at 5. It was a pretty rough ride for Amanda. She slept on and off the majority of the trip. Any little bump seem to hurt though.
She’s been sore today, third day is usually the worst. Coming back yesterday was the best with her being so sore. She’s in pain but it seems to be under control today.
Her pacemaker will need to be adjusted sooner or later. The threshold on the new lead will need to be lowered eventually. We’ll also need to see her cardiologist for a follow up. He’s in Houston we’ll try and make one trip to see him and the surgeon in a couple of weeks.
